This template returns the English weekday (between Monday and Sunday) for today (UTC time, as set on the Wikipedia server).

Note[edit]
- This template may be implemented natively in the local Wikipedia server; with the syntax above, you'll use the native implementation, when available.
- Make sure that the returned value displayed in the above example equals "Monday" exactly. Otherwise update the names in the Template:WEEKDAYNAME template.
